ENTRY FEES:

SWPA Registered Exhibitors £7.00 per class. Entries on the day £8.00 per class

Non Registered Exhibitors £9.00. per class. Entries on the day £12.00 per class

Class 4 Showing Gems Mountain and Moorland Large Breeds - Youngstock

Class 5 Snuggy Hoods Riding Ponies/Hunter ponies - Youngstock

Class 6 Snuggy Hoods Riding Ponies/Hunter ponies – Adult stock

Class 7 Miniatures – Youngstock

Class 8 Miniatures - Adults

Class 9 Owner Bred – Any age, any type.  MUST be bred, owned and shown by a member of the family

Class 10 Veteran Horse or Pony – 15 years and over

Class 11 Coloured Horse or Pony Youngstock – to include Piebald, skewbald, palomino, dun and spotted.

Class 12 Coloured Horse or Pony Adult stock – to include Piebald, skewbald, palomino, dun and spotted.

Class 13 Hack/Riding Horse – any age

Class 14 Hunters – any age

Class 15 Cobs – Traditional and Show Cobs any age

Class 16 Arabs – Pure, Part Bred and Anglo Youngstock

Class 17 Arabs – Pure, Part Bred and Anglo Adult stock

Championship: 1st & 2nd from classes 1 - 17 to compete

Class 31 Novice Combination – not to have been placed first as a combination prior to date of show.

The Categories are: - M&M Lead Rein, M&M First Ridden

Open/Show Hunter Lead Rein, Open/Show Hunter First Ridden

Junior Ridden M&M, Junior Open Ridden,

Ridden M&M / Riding Pony / Show Hunter Pony / Intermediate,

Ridden Competition Type / M&M Part Bred / Arab / Cob / Hack /

Riding Horse / Hunter / Coloured.

 

The three highest placed Pony/Horse Rider Combinations, indicated by the rider wearing a white armband in the classes highlighted with ‘#’ at

this show will qualify for the finals to be held at the

SWPA Championship’s. Qualification Cards to be signed in the ring by the Judge/Steward.

Qualification Cards should be obtained in advance from the secretary

Show Rules and Conditions.

  • This show is run under the rules of SWPA a copy of which can be viewed by clicking here.
  • All competitors take part at their own risk and are expected to exercise due care and attention at all times and obey all notices displayed. The organisers and owners of the venue accept NO responsibility for any accident, loss or damage to any competitor, spectator animals or property. It shall be a condition of entry that competitors will hold the organisers blameless and indemnify them against any loss, damage or legal proceedings.
  • SWPA recommend that all competitors have adequate personal sports insurance cover.
  • All accidents, incidents, slips, trip and falls should be reported immediately to the secretary and first aiders. A report form should be completed for each incident.
  • An exhibitor must not knowingly exhibit any horse/pony that has been bred, leased, sold or produced by the judge or their immediate family.
  • An exhibitor may not show in a competition judged by an immediate member of their family.
  • A competitor may not show or ride under a judge for whom they have produced a horse/pony in the past two years.
  • All ridden equines must be 4 years old
  • All riders must have obtained their third birthday by 1 Jan in the current year.
  • All riders must comply with the upper age limit of the class entered and may be expected to produce a birth certificate if requested.
  • All colts and stallions two years old and over, must be in possessions of a current licence.
  • Colts and stallions MUST not be led by a junior under 14 yrs of age.
  • Stallions not exceeding 138cms may not be ridden by juniors under 12 years of age. Stallions 138cms and over may not be ridden by juniors under 14 years of age.
  • NO SPURS in any classes [even if deemed part of dress code]
  • Showing canes must not exceed 30 ins
  • Correct British Standard Headgear must be worn at all times when mounted and must comply with current recommendations and have a three point connection that is fastened at all times.
  • All dogs must be on a lead at all times.
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to people or equines at any time without assigning a reason.

...and finally!

    • Should you wish to make an objection to the placings or conduct within a class then an objection must be made in writing, giving all the details, and handed to the secretary within 30 mins of the end of that class, accompanied by a fee of £10 which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. ANYONE not following this rule and behaving in an aggressive and threatening manner to any of the organisers will be asked to leave the showground immediately.
    • Classes will not be held up for people engaged in other classes. Do not enter if you think your classes will clash. Late entries can be made right up until the class officially closes, after which no entries will be allowed in.
    • Entry fees are not refundable.
    • The judge’s decision is final
