Showland Native Society

This is a new society formed to promote the showing of native ponies, with an emphasis on fair judging. They are to hold there first championship show on the second Sunday in September for which we wish them every success.

There will be qualifiers for the Showland Native Society Championship Show at our Welsh Show.

Their Championship Show will include qualifiers for our own Festival and Championship Shows

The Categories are: -

Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein, Mountain & Moorland First Ridden

Open/Show Hunter Lead Rein, Open/Show Hunter First Ridden

Junior Ridden Mountain & Moorland, Junior Open Ridden,

Mountain & Moorland Small Breeds, Mountain & Moorland Large Breeds

Show/Riding Pony, Show Hunter Pony, Ridden Intermediate,

Ridden Competition Type, Part Bred M&M Ridden, Arab Ridden, Ridden Cob,

Ridden Hack, Riding Horse, Ridden Hunter, Ridden Coloured.

 

The two highest placed novice pony/horse, indicated by the rider wearing a white armband in the classes

highlighted with ‘#’ at this show will qualify for the finals to be held at the SWPA Championship’s.

Judge’s may also award a third qualifying card to any rider, regardless of their position in the relevant class

who is wearing a white armband, which they deem to be a ‘Star for the Future’
